The leak test pressure transducer is connected to the test part. When this circuit is filled with air and isolated from the supply, any leak results in a pressure change relative to atmospheric pressure. The pressure change leak test transducer output provides a measurement of the pressure change proportional to the leak rate.

The InterTech M-1075-26z Leak Testing Instrument is a high pressure construction, high resolution, differential pressure change leak test instrument suitable for a medium to large part volumes.
Test item and reference volume are pressurized and then isolated by closing valve 1. Reference volume is isolated from test item by closing valve 2. Leak test transducer reads pressure differential between reference volume and test item twice over time.
